Deeply colored. Stony nose without much overt fruit. Substantial entry but just medium weight. Firm tannins but fairly short finish. A reasonable value for $40 at a restaurant.

Nice fresh nose of wild flowers blackberries, cranberries, strawberries, cherries, candies, earth, light vanilla and white pepper.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, cherries, wood, earth, cloves and peppercorn.
Medium + in body with medium acidity.
Medium finish with round tannins and black pepper. (As it opens up, bigger tannings show up).
Great Bordeaux blend with 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc.
Balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food.
Paired with grilled trout. All that lemon I sprinkled on it, brought out the fruits in the wine (unconventional pairing? but I liked it.)
14% alcohol by volume.
