Not a blockbuster, but elegant and nicely executed. Nose has subtle toast, lemon oil, crushed limestone, orchard fruit. Nicely concentrated flavors, with crisp, straw, stone, and earth inflected apple fruit, nice acidity. Hint of bitterness in the long finish.

Quite a strange one as even after around 4 hours open it has a distinct sulphuric smell and natural wine like pungency. The honeycomb core points to something delicious, deep and complex underneath that, dare I say, funk. Not sure I love it or hate it. Certainly quite captivating.

Was just right. Served with poultry. Chilled was best.

The reduction notes really took away from everything else. Can’t say that I particularly enjoyed this.
