Encore une fois quel beau vin expressif, gourmand, du fruit rouge généreux, des épices douces, un bel équilibre, ç a se boit tout seul, très bien. 90-91

Gorgeous and generous red fruit, spices, soft to medium bodied, very expressive and nicely balanced, drinks easy yet gives a lot for the price.

Very expressive nose and aromas of spices and red fruit, the same energy and gorgeous fruit on the palate with good structure, a real treat. 91-92

Très expressif au nez comme en bouche, beaucoup de fruit, des épices, une belle énergie avec une bonne structure, un délice.

The wine felt older than its real age. The nose recalls those of old Pinots I had. Cherry, rose, and somewhat of a vinegar touch that is not appealing at all. The wine opened after a while and the vinegar thing disappeared. The palate is more interesting with cherry, a classic long acid backbone, a metallic touch, some salt there too, some meat too, but with subtle touches, not overwhelming. The finish is quite quick and this bottle doesn't represent the quality of its appelation well enough.

I liked this very well. That sweet sol/argile du Bourgogne.

Tight and tannic. Make sure you decant the living hell out of it. After 2 hours — dark red fruit, nice earthy tones, wet forest, a bit of lime skin and rose petals. On palate it's still bity dry and a bit closed up, but again, it's 2012 and needs more time for sure.
