Nice drinking wine. Not very complex, not a stong finish. Let it breathe, much better.

First-rate QPR #cahors #malbec #merlot (70%/30%) blend. Nose considerably fruitier than the previous vintages I’ve found at #costco which were 100% Malbec. The merlot brings ripe bramble fruit on the nose followed by earthy undertones. Succulent acidity on the palate right up front, black berries following with some dark chocolate, forest floor, leather notes. Hearty tannins linger on the finish and build with each sip. QPR is way up there for under $9.

Great blend. Quite dry, not as fruit forward as the label claims, but very enjoyable. Definitely more malbec than merlot.
