Vintage 2014 | This Pessac Leognan delivers. Ten years old the colour is brownish. In smell lovely complexity: spices, liquorice, flint, warmth. Impressions of plums and tobacco. Surprising velvety taste, clearly a point! | paired with Cantonese beef and mango.

Getting better and better with age

Still a baby!! Very underrated BDX house imho.

Pretty classic Left bank Bordeaux. Needs air and food to shine. Red currant, portobello mushroom, dried herbs.

Pyrazene, underripe/ripe black and red cherry, cassis, pencil shavings, cedar wood,organic earth, smoke. New oak. Med body, med+ acid and elevated tannins. A cool vintage expression of a warm climate.

Minty, herbal, red fruits, very fresh, gorgeous acidity, classic old school Bordeaux, love it

Somewhat muted aromas of strawberry leaf, smoked capsicum, blackberry, plum, briar, pepperberry and pencil shavings. Chewy tannins, soft acid and solid finish. Nice wine

Early on, this wine was better than the 90. It was rounder and was more fruit forward but yielded to the 90 on the long decant. Out of magnum as well.

This started slow but ended up being wine if the night. Nice resolution from magnum. Beautiful soft dark fruits and pure elegance.
