Dark red purple. Abundant(!) nose of blueberry plum compote in a wooden bowl. Medium palate of juicy plums and blueberries supported by moderate tannins and surprisingly bright acidity. Moderately short finish. This is still a very good wine despite the overall weakness of the '21 vintage showing in all of its light bright glory. Prices make this an opportunity buy that'll show well with lighter cuts of beef, lamb, or even pork. Drink now and say that you had Clinet.

Beautiful color of dark ruby with a wide reddish rim.

Elegant nose of blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates, black pepper, eucalyptus, licorice, herbs and Mediterranean spices.

Medium plus in body and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cherries, light oak, spices, dark chocolates, light mint, coffee, peppercorn, licorice, herbs, light earth and black tea.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Merlot from the great 2016 vintage in Pomerol. Nicely balanced and fruit forward.

Still young and restrained, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but drinking so well already. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Rich and chewy. Complex, entertaining and good by itself as a sipping wine.

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 16 months in (70% new) French Oak barrels.

14% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$150.

2011 vintage, so low expectations, but wine is stunning. Grill aggregation unfolds into violets and cypress, bacon and porcini. Timber yard resins, reishi coffee, baking chocolate, burnt parchment, gunpowder tea, and dried rose petal. Soft, black and bing cherry serrated by black blades of dark tobacco, black currant, cassis, smoldering acanthus, crisp oregano, cardamom, and tart blueberry. Color is brick, edifice is showing cracks, but architecture intact. Don’t hold. Slay and ascend.

Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe red/black fruit and complex spice from this mostly Merlot Right Bank blend, aged in about 75% new oak. On the palate concentrated fruit flavors of black cherry and red plums with currants, tobacco, cacao and toasty oak, powerhouse blend with smooth ripe fine tannins, well balanced. Long finish ending with fruit, oak and earthy notes. Very well done!

Virtual tasting with the Wine Nerd Herd...2010 and older BDX...paired with a Lamb Burger and garlic aïoli for the fries. Drank over three hours, ruby garnet in the glass. Has a sparkle to it. Blackberry, fine wood spice, nuances of blackberries and licorice and tangerine. Juicy fine tannins, has another 10 years ripening potential.
