2022 vintage. I had many great experiences with this estate, but this is a huge disappointment in such a great vintage. Raisiny, cooked smell and taste, short, harsh finish. Let's hope this is just a bad bottle.

2014 vintage. While it is not as good as the 2018 or the excellent 2020, this is another fine effort from one of the greatest value estates in the Médoc. Abv. 13,5%.

2020 vintage. Even better than the primeur sample. Fine value.

Dark color. Black currant, coffee and cassis on the nose followed by damp forest floor. This is drinking really well at age 20! Still loads of fruit. Dense and opulent with some tertiary notes beginning to take hold. I can’t believe that a comparably aged wine in say 2005 (when I got into wine) would be a 1985. This also shows how far cru bourgeois has come. I would imagine the 2010 is a stunning wine. Hard to believe this likely costed $20-$25 on release. Talk about qpr

2018 vintage. Medium-bodied, with juicy berry fruit and spices, fresh and balanced. Retronasal fruit and cedar. Very good value at 15 euros.

Solid. Good balance here, needs a few years but the components are there. I’m a repeat buyer at €15

Just solid and a stellar value. Good balance of earth and fruit, nice ripe tannins, focused and clean. Leans to the classic style. Drinking very well. 👍 to this property

Tasted next to the 2003 Ch. Charmail this gets my nod as the better wine. Still a tiny bit of (rustic) tannins that needs to be resolved but I think this will provide nice drinking over the next 2-10 years.
