2020 vintage. One of my favourite vintages for Cantemerle, and the second wine is delicious too. While it doesn't have the complexity and length of the grand vin, it's a nice, elegant Haut-Médoc in its own right.

2019 vintage. Cantemerle is very reliable, and so is the second wine. Great value, and a good, more simple introduction to the grand vin.

2019 vintage. It seems that you cannot go wrong with Cantemerle. This second wine is a delicious, simple and mature Haut-Médoc. Terrific value. Outperforms the Mauvezin Saint-Emilion grand cru 2019 tasted alongside. ABV. 13%.

Still too young, leave alone for quite some time.

From half bottle. Exiting its peak. Blind tasters were thinking Spain or Italy. Black licorice mentioned across the board. Would have to agree that Bordeaux wouldn’t have been my first call.

Sipping Fine Wine

Deep Ruby with pronounced aroma intensity showing black fruits, toasty and Haney notes. On the palate flavors of black currant & blackberry, jammy, with vanilla spice and cedar notes. Biting tannins on long finish that still had plenty of room to age. Nice. Tasting Sample.
