Classic Graves nose. Spice. Elegant but also a bitter edge. Juicy and long.

Under same ownership as Smith-Haut-Lafitte, where it too is made. Grapes are hand picked and sorted before and after destemming. Aged 14 months in oak, 39% new barrels, no racking.

Suprisingly fruit forward at first. Black currant and plum with pronounced oak on the nose. With time the fruit drops back a bit and crushed rock and suade come forward. Med+ body with solid tannins. Very approachable now but would love to see where this goes in another 5 yrs. great calue

Light Brett on the nose that dissipated with a little time, some fruit left and mostly secondary flavors including leather/Tabacco and minerality.. Tannins soft and acid nicely present. Drinking pleasantly and certainly feel good wine for QPR!

A bit of funk but I like it. Still plenty of tannin and acidity. Dark dark cassis and cherry.

Exceeded low expectations but still past it’s prime. Thin with slight notes of cherry.

Was more enjoyable the last time when I had it with a ribeye. Wow-a lot of funk initially...needs time to decant. Wine has a lot of minerality and is leathery. Probably a few peak years left - had it in February 2020.

Drink up! Dark fruit all but gone; leaving one with a glass of less than pleasant sour wood chips. On second thoughts...just dump it. 😏

Well polished wine. Soft black fruit and currant flavors with a chewy tannic backbone. Drinking well now. At the price certainly Pessac QPR.
