Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Notes? Old school note taking takes a back seat, just like how the old school Bordeaux style takes a back seat here in this flamboyant Merlot dominant Grand Cru Saint-Emilion (55%, 35% Cab Franc, 10% Cab Sauv).

Much more reticent today, I'd check back in a while on this one. It's just not firing on all cylinders.

Dark muted fruit. Finish is smooth that speaks well of the terroir with pencil shaving and mushroom hints. Could still sit for another few years.

Already drinks nicely! Very good Bordeaux.

Love this wine. It opened up after a few hours.
