The 2020 Bellegrave is well-defined and poised on the nose, blackberry and briary, hints of truffle unfolding with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a graphite-infused entry. Quite solid and structured, almost like a "mini-Lafleur", with a well-defined and persistent finish that has splendid mineralité. Very fine. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2023)

Blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon & 34% Merlot, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit, floral and spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currant and blueberry fruit with cigar box and vanilla oak spice. Lively acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced, long finish ending with slight earthy notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop. Nice!

Tightly wound even with lots of air. Blind tasters were leaning Italian. Just a hint of green character. The nose had more appeal than the palate. Maybe more time is needed.

Medium to full bodied, dark and rich, with long legs and a big nose. The nose has a nice balance of big, juicy dark fruits, some vanilla, woody hints (like wet mulch) and almost blueberry pie like notes on a big nose. The palate still has some zingy spice and acidity, with nicely integrated tannins, some meaty iron notes, and a long finish of graphite, woody notes and an alcohol like freshness similar to menthol.

So I'm not seeing it, especially for $60. Nose a little tight; meat, crushed flowers, blackberries. Palate just not that interesting. Medium weight, a little smooth.
