$27 Big nose. Notes of blackberry, black currant, boysenberry, eucalyptus, and baking spice. Medium body. Dry. Before decanting, high acid, high tannins, and medium alcohol with a sour finish. Notes of blackberry, baking spice and cherry on the palate. After decanting for about 2 hours this wine opened up significantly. The acid and tannins mellowed out and I really began to enjoy it. This wine became medium alcohol, medium acid and medium plus tannins. In other words, decant and enjoy.

This is not going on to be a popular opinion but I think this wine is highly overrated and getting high marks based on name/reputation, not because of the experience it brings to your palate. No better than most $20 bottles. Leather, oak, spice

Charles Krug Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018: Medium plus bodied. Beautiful color & structure. Firm balanced tannins and a great bold taste. Rich lush flavors of blackberry, red fruits, vanilla, oak & spice with an inviting smooth finish. All in all, this is a very approachable wine for being so young and I would highly recommend to grab a few bottles to drink now and cellar for the future. How could you go wrong with this iconic California wine as this is Napa Valley’s oldest winery! Great day to all! Cheers🍷

Rich lush flavors of blackberry, red fruits, vanilla, oak & spice with an inviting smooth finish. All in all, this is a very approachable wine for being so young and I would highly recommend to grab a few bottles to drink now and cellar for the future.
