A stunning champagne Charlie that is still vibrant , complex with lots of bread dough , mineral , ripe apple with incredibly fine bubbles . The bottle was pretty beat up but when the cork gave us a big pop we were quite relived and very impressed . 1979 is one of my favorite vintages . Legendary bubbles !

Jun 9th, 2019Amazing mature with aromas of apple , pear , brioche , toffee and minerals . Still vibrant in the mouth with lots of brioche ; toast and minerals with a core of ripe apple and spice . Wonderful !

Perfect provenance. Very dark color, a lot of cheese, pear, peach. Long aftertaste.

Chocolate nose. Palate of white chocolate and Nutella. Also, secondary citrus notes, especially on the exceedingly long finish. Amazing.

1982 vintage en magnum, 2 bottles tasted & small variation in liveliness of effervescence but both very much in tact. Deep gold color complex brioche, wax, honey apricot compote lemon cream. Palate definitely developed but still tremendous liveliness and firmness. Has likely another 5-8 years. A rare champagne treat
