07’ Chappellet Pritchard Hill . We decanted it for an hour. Deep Ruby color.
Black and blue fruits. Licorice, dark chocolate, walnut, 4/10 acidity, fine tannins. Medium- bodied . Close to its peak now. Should age nicely over the next 5+ years. Edit - Don’t know how much fruit will be around in 10 years. Honestly think the acidity will be there.

Gorgeous with so much energy. Red fruit, red cherries, raspberries. Tons of vibrancy. Feels sophisticated too with a really finessed texture.

Amazing wine with the beef tenderloin- this was vibrant and radiant wine - this mountain terroir shows up In the structure and concentration but incredible palette with bold notes and not extracted yet purity and poise you expect from Pritchard Hill - aromas reveal blackberry, dark cherry and dark chocolate - noise gives off oak spice, violets and tobacco - rich satisfying and expansive taste notes now after a hour of decant with layers of dark berry, espresso and cedar - completely underscored by silky tannins that carry through to a lingering, almost liqueur-like finish but not at all extracted - totally in the zone - will last 10 years easily but why wait

2011 is a wet vintage for Napa, but in the capable hands of top producers, it delivers a fresher, more classically styled bottling. This Prichard Hill is a great example.
The nose offers blackcurrant, violets, and graphite, with subtle hints of cedar and dried herbs. On the palate, the wine is firmly structured, with fresh dark fruits, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Long mineral-driven finish. While not as deep and opulent as warmer years, it’s refined and elegant.
A good 8-10 years drinking window ahead

2016 vintage. Tasted after opened (not decanted) 2.5 hours prior. Medium-heavy body. If blind tasting, probably would have tried to slot this as a Shafer Hillside Select: 2012-2015 timeframe given the feminine style with enduring finish but this has more bod. This was very nice yet personally prefer their grippier Signature Cab which is, roughly, half the price of this vehicle. 02.22.25.

Dark color, tannins, and hint of fruits. Probably needs couple more years in cellaring

Two great wines tonight! 45+ minute decant. Dark purple color. Dominated by baking spices and Black Forest cake. Medium plus depth and strong finish. Lots of life left in it.

Awesome wine with the owner Cyril Chappellet.

Beautiful 2012 Prichard Hill Cab.Brambly red fruits, cedar, little smoke, and sultry tannins leading to a nice long finish. Smooth and jammy in texture. Nicely structured and layered. With secondary notes of chocolates espresso and slight tobacco. Oops a little too much fun that evening! He was there in spirit. Just edited rating with Cyril’s name.

Luisana!

Dear chappellet for this 2018 the blend is 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. 2018 was another outstanding vintage and this wine has received nothing but raves!

@Delectable Wine 2010 Napa Valley (not Estate).

The cork came out very saturated and while the wine was certainly enjoyable it seemed a little disjointed so I suspect it might have been somewhat heat-damaged - NR.
