Bricco Rocche Barolo Nebbiolo

Density and fruit aplenty, but still too much obvious new oak. So much so that I felt it masked a lot of the fruit’s quality. Expensive for what it offered, and not for me.

Purchased on release. Very underwhelming bottle. Atypical and out of balance, but not flawed by any means. Would not buy again.

Lean. Dried dark cherries. Anise. Dark flavors. Very aromatic.

Earth, mushroom, leather / red fruit has desiccated quality / herbal notes everywhere

Classic, still evolving

Enjoyed this delightful elixir with Master Somm, George Meliotis at his new Wine Bar George in Disney Springs. Balanced, elegant tannins, light notes of tar and red roses. Graceful fruit. Lighter in color but stands up to bolder red wines. I will reach for this one again soon.

Super focused Barolo with aromas of tar, roses and red fruit.
