Airplane glue. Unctuous black fruits and road tar. Great, smooth mouthfeel.

Love this wine for its overall balance, pronounced minerality and accessible tannin structure. It will age nicely, but to me it's made to please early.

Friday night and the start of another beautiful weekend. I have opened the 2010 VI De Vila Porrera De Vall Llach Priorat. A blend of 70% Carignan and 30% Garnacha.

On the nose there is black cherry, stewed plums, black raspberry, licorice, tar, tobacco, leather, baking spice, cured meat and forest floor.

On the palate there is black cherry, raspberry, baking spice, licorice, tar, tobacco, black olives and dry forest floor.

This wine is full bodied that is big and bold that these old vines provide some serious backing with medium + to high acidity and medium + to high gritty tannins that help provide a long chunky dark fruit finish. This is a beautifully complex wine to be enjoyed during the fall or winter with a hearty steak dinner. Let's all have a great weekend and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
