Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Had 6 of these. 1 was fouled. Super loose cork. Oxidized. This bottle is beautiful. Cherry tobacco, cola, still acidity, round tannins.

Delicious Brunello, a bit more rustic like a Chianti Classico style. Strawberry, brush, licorice. This will improve with age.

Sweet finish - plum and dark tea notes - this is a mid to short term drinker in my book ... Already bricking at edges

Very good, sweet red fruit, spices, and oak.

Really nice, dark, dried fruit. Black cherry, fig, plum, plenty of florals, licorice, and a poop ton of leathery tannins. I'm letting it breathe for a good while. Excellent pull!
Listening to Pavement.

Nose of leather and dark cherries. Prominent tannins on opening. Most blew off after a couple hours of slow ox. By day 2 was singing with perforce balanced smoothness. Layers of flavor from dark cherry, anise, tobacco, clove, tobacco, mineral. Long subtle finish. Not inexpensive but flavor competes with wines at double the price.

Nose of dark cherry, licorice, smoke. Palate is earthy with leather, undergrowth, anice. Acidity is prominent up front with mouth watering experience followed by long lasting but subtle dry tannins. Opens up wonderfully after about an hour where the dark cherries and other dark fruit flavors pop.
