I always love some Loire Valley Cabernet Franc and this Friday I was thinking of it cause a friend was talking to me on a chat so I had to open one. This Cab Franc is a nice showing and I haven't had one from Saumur. What a unique and well blended wine. The nose we have cassis, vegetal notes, spice, pencil shavings pencil lead, and licorice. On the palate is bold Bell Pepper, more vegetal nuances, good acidity with sandy tannins. I really find that I truly like these wines and a specially from the Loire. Happy Friday and Nostrovia!

Apr 25th, 2014Sage, bell pepper, graphite, chocolate, cherry reduction, violet. The green notes on the nose combine with cherry, raspberry, violet, and black tea. Juicy medium acidity and ample, dusty tannins round out the mouthfeel. Delicious, complex, balanced, and cheap. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Oct 6th, 2020Green Cab Franc nose, but not offensive or green pepper. For how powerful the aromatics are, very light on the palate.
