Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Better than the last bottle I opened, and possibly better than the 2020 Riserva.

Better every vintage

Light ruby with some brick hue and a viscous swirl; earthy nose, spices like thyme and sage; more complex taste with finer tannins, darker fruit, and longer finish than the Pieve. Around 12.000 bottles produced; large botti used.

Delivers the Brunello experience. Its age felt like it was right for drinking.

Absolutely unacceptable levels of va in a wine of this price. Disgraceful. The wine underneath shows promise perhaps but with so many other options… does it matter?

A lovely Brunello, very smooth and balanced with earthy flavours and dark fruits. Nicely paired with the zucchini flowers and filetto.
