Barbaresco Nebbiolo

This barbaresco is very pretty in 2015. Floral punctuated by red fruit. Tea like tannins. Approachable but with decent sophistication.

I fancied a nice, simple and delicious Barbaresco and this was just that. Red fruits, roses and a touch of almond maybe. It’s an early drinker and quite pleasing.

Pleasant barbera but perhaps a bit too oaky for my taste.

Delicate and soft red fruit tones and very smooth. 2015 is tasting great now.

Eataly, with white truffle tagliatelle

This wine has red crimson see thru body with slight purple reflection. First aromas of black cherries followed by violets & spice. Front delicious roundness of cherry, then tea or leafy pass thru to tannic grip and lengthy finish violets. Once the tannis settle down with breathing more bramble berry influence is found.
