aromas of black and red currant, garrigue, aged meat

crunchy and juicy black currant, damson plumb, boysenberry fruits dominate with notes of eucalyptus, bay leaf and sage stick on the finish

A "nice" bottle of wine. Nothing dramatic, but certainly not discardable. Fruit bearing and generous, but a little grippy. Decanted, so no sediment, but still a bit "dirty" on the palate.

2008- shows a bit of VA, a perfect picking. this blend shows the tomato and ripe black cherry. Dark as a Brunello, fennel and roasted savory herbs with a sanguine finish!

Love this wine. In a good place right now. Showing bright, fresh red fruits.

Not the most graceful expression, but pretty good for the money: classic red fruits, dried herbs, savories.

Laura Bianchi and her team continue the long family tradition of making beautiful wines. This marvelous Chianti is a good example. Its traditional style exhibits a layered structure of ripe cherry fruit & herbs accented with light tannins that make it a delight to drink. The wine is at its peak. Enjoy it!
