Malheureusement léger défaut qui m’a pas permis de l’apprécier autant que la première bouteille bu il y a 1-2 ans

Oh Yeah!! 100% Super Tuscan Merlot. Mature red fruit and plum aromas and flavors. Faint hints of tobacco and cola. Soft and silky. Dark garnet color with some purple hues. This one has aged beautifully.

Tertiary flavors that I would more expect from an older wine, so perhaps this has seen less than ideal storage - but still gracefully aged and an absolute pleasure.

Color of burgundy. A bit more brown than usual, and a bit hazy/cloudy. Nose is simply beautiful with wave of sweet tobacco leaves and nice oak, and a bit leathery. Taste is a harmony and chewy. A mix of tobacco leaves, oak notes, sugarplum, right amount of tannins, subtle dark fruits, and black pepper. The flavors are so saturated and so enjoyable. No need to breathe at all. Aftertaste is long with dominant flavors of almost everything present in the taste, and some additional bittersweetness. A charming wine.

Nose - Violets, blueberries, leather, dried cherries. Only an '09, but smells older.
Color - brick with slight orange edges
Structure - medium body (light for a merlot), soft tannins, medium minus acidity
Plate - blueberry, leather, tobacco, cherry. Long, smooth finish.

$35 at WTSO
