Powerful, complex, fleshy, fantastic tannin, but for my personal taste is lacking a bit of freshness. Anyway a well balanced wine that will hold for few more years.

Simultaneously subtle but rich and deep, this doesn't explode on the palate but gives you a lot to think about and discover. A bit more in your face richness would have been a welcome addition for me, but still a nice pour nonetheless. A nice translucent ruby, tart cherries come through most on the nose and translate to the palate, where they're joined by subtle dark fruit notes and toasty barrel char

1997 vintage. Dark ruby hue. Tight on the nose. Dark chocolate and dark cherry, furniture polish. On the palate, bit woody and flat. Medium acidity, full body, high alcohol and medium finish. Disappointing on the palate. Might be slightly flawed bottle.
