This 2008 was a real treat to try. Dusty and musty, like an old library book. Floral arrangements mixed with dark earth, black cherries, and lots of spice. Jill said: "tastes like Hogwarts." Spot on.

Damn, this is the full package. Precise yet weighty bright cherry fruit, earth, leather and Tuscan sun. Overdelivers. Needs about an hour in the decanter, pop and pour this is a different, and much less interesting, wine.

Very classic chianti, sour cherry and a bit of cedar. Tannins that are pleasantly grippy but not overpowering. I would wait 3 or so years to see where this goes because it has longevity and lift. For an old school wine lover

Notes on the 1995. Had it February 2009, along with Poggio Di Sotto 95 Riserva and it was obscured, but it was a great wine anyway.
Still fruity, irony, vibrant and with a nice body. Still young and likely to develop a lot.
