Grapes: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot Winery Tasting Notes: This wine, mostly Sangiovese grape, greets the eye with a very intense ruby red color. It opens with a complex and elegant bouquet, with nuance of mature fruits and vanilla. Soft on the palate, well balanced with persistent aftertaste. Aged in big oak casks for 18 months.

Jul 19th, 2024Very nice, very typical. Gorgeously ripe cherry fruit, with gravel and nice savory notes. Soft and concentrated in the mouth, with just enough tannin to provide some structure and good acids. Nice length and purity.

Feb 5th, 2022Out of Egypt and back to Rome. The food and drink greatly improved upon landing. The wine is a full bodied Sangiovese with luxurious layers of red fruit, soft tannins and a lingering aftertaste.

Nov 9th, 2021Slightly young wine. It could be cellared for a few more years. Standard Chianti. Darker colour, hints of dark berries and leather finish.

Sep 26th, 2018Big tight red, with dark fruits and hints of leather. Needs some cellar time, would lay it down for 2-3 years.

Dec 24th, 2017My favorite wine to buy from the super market in Florence. For about €6, this was a really great wine to pair with dinners cooked at home.
