Very nice, very typical. Gorgeously ripe cherry fruit, with gravel and nice savory notes. Soft and concentrated in the mouth, with just enough tannin to provide some structure and good acids. Nice length and purity.

Average Chianti- I’m not sad I’m not jumping for joy, it’s better than Barefoot but so is Dr Pepper

Out of Egypt and back to Rome. The food and drink greatly improved upon landing. The wine is a full bodied Sangiovese with luxurious layers of red fruit, soft tannins and a lingering aftertaste.

Slightly young wine. It could be cellared for a few more years. Standard Chianti. Darker colour, hints of dark berries and leather finish.

Big tight red, with dark fruits and hints of leather. Needs some cellar time, would lay it down for 2-3 years.

My favorite wine to buy from the super market in Florence. For about €6, this was a really great wine to pair with dinners cooked at home.

All these Chiantis are so easy to drink. Light bright color. Not very complex.
