Casablanca has good Pinot Noirs that achieve varietal expressions such as this one, with its complex aromas, rose petals, forest herbs, earth and cherry and a hint of animal hide. The entrance is full of flavor and the aftertaste is indulgent. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, March 2020)

Mar 12th, 2020Smells of green pepper, and slight baking chocolate.
A wonderful flavor of cacao dusted peppers, finessed tannins and low level acidity mingle with tart overtones. A classic Syrah from Chile,
in all the ways.
A few more years, and this would completely integrate.

Jun 2nd, 2019I don't know, you guys. I mean, it's *fine* but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Ripe fruit and a cola-y flavor hit you right away, but there's a dill-like note on the finish that sits awkwardly on the palate, to my taste. Maybe having this after a Hamilton Russell was part of the problem.

Nov 4th, 2017Another Chilean Pinot Noir that makes me pause. Gulpable, savory, balanced...black plum, black currant, underbrush, smoke, tar. Full on sexy.

Jun 6th, 2015Tonight's tasting: Pinots from around the world. Group ranked 2 of 5. Fruity big and bold with ripe cherry and cola. The group would buy this again.
