More sophisticated than a typical Nero D'Avola, perricone has that same cozy, soft mouthfeel. Broader attack of baked cherries & air picks up the more recessed acid, & fleshes out the mid palate. Very appealing, is a friendly, golden retriever kinda wine....

One of the few wines from Perricone grapes. Soft and elegant tannins, awesome.

Quite aromatic nose; reminds me of parfait amour: florality (mainy violets) paired with red fruit (slightly jammy) and orange peel.
Light body with equally light tannins and enough tannins to make it refreshing, although the perfume and alcohol makes you want to look at the temperature (or else becomes a bit unbalanced).
Flavours are not as intense as nose gives. I find lots of raspberry, candied strawberry, orange peel and aniseed.
Treat this as a still brachetto with some more alcoholic burn.

Dark ruby, opaque, edged with fine rusty brim. Mulberry, black rasberry, some meaty aromas in the nose. Wine with a good backbone but a bit rough tannins responsible for distinctly dry mouthfeel. Quite unusual wine made from ancient variety, usually blended but not this time.
