Concentrated and with lots of tannins. The wine has an odd but pleasant dark aroma. Oak noticeable in the finish. Held up really well when paired with brisket and parsnip puree.

The flavors lead with plum and berries. It has an amazing texture in the mouth which weighty but smooth. It is dry with an interesting finish that reminds me of fresh greens. This is truly outstanding wine that I wish I would have bought more of when I had the chance. Wine Enthusiast gave it a 96.

So hard for this wine. Duke Nukem retro throwback to 2012, bombs of pepper with an explosion of cherry vanilla smoothness. As the mouth begins to pucker a sudden surprising splash of chalk fills the mouth with complex layers of elation. I am naked, absolute panty dropper.
