Dark and brooding for such a cool year

Finally. A night at home this week. Pizza, a nice bottle and family. Too many Starwood points this month! This wine is a bomb, classic Carlisle Syrah. This was worth the 5 year wait on the mailing list.

Still a youngster, but providing sheer hedonistic pleasure at this stage.

So big and scratchy. But not hot at 15.7%.

Excellent, loaded with gobs of black fruit. Very drinkable for its young age

Gorgeous. Probably the best Carlisle wine I’ve ever tasted. Drinking perfectly!

Needs to breathe. Very nice

2-3 hour decant does this bottle good

A full and glass-staining wine with acidity and tannic spine to boot. Monolithic at this point but starts to come around after 24h and hints at a good long future. More fruit driven than classic meat/game/bacon elements, but not overblown.
