As pointed out by others the Pinot Grape in this wine is overwhelmed by apple spice with heated Cream Sherry flavour. This unique but enjoyed. There is minimal terroir flavour as allspice finish arrives in the back of end with some heat. If you don’t allow this wine to breathe the alcohols heat overwhelms. I’ve seen other describe the acidity as “cedaree” and concur with this comparison. Enjoyed with spicy turkey sausages and roasted root vegetables. Cheers!

Dec 25th, 2017Excellent wine. Medium to full bodied with strong notes of oak and leather. Assertive up front with a smooth and slightly sweet finish.
