Salty & herbal...appealingly rustic like all the cardedu wines are. Best chilled with medi food; really gives a sense of place.

Totally unexpected. Dry and savory, but fresh and lively. Has familiar aroma to Sangiovese but the body of a high quality rose. It has a chameleon character, vacillating between dry northern Italian red and southern French rose. Worth the try.

The 2019 Monica di Sardegna Praja opens with a sweet-and-sour display of cranberries, pomegranate and autumnal spice. It’s cool-toned and lively, mixing tart red fruits with wild herbal tones. This has energy to burn, tapering off lively and fresh but also with a salty twang of minerals that keeps you coming back to the glass. (Eric Guido, Vinous, March 2021)

Nice chilled. Medium–light, ripe cherry, good acid, some earthiness and a very light funk. From Amaro Spirits and Wine. 10/28/20

Drank after spending some time in the fridge, which I recommend. On the nose, a bit herbal with ripe cherries. Fairly acidic and almost a little effervescent. Highly enjoyed!

Fresh, savory, herbal, light—throw a chill on this. Fascinating grape native to Sardinia, possibly Spain

Chill this a bit and you'll taste the ocean, wet docks, and strawberries in the sun.
