Sep 24th, 2017The pale wine gives off an aromatic nose that's loaded with minerals and dressed up with a smoothly savory bit of lanolin. Lemon sneaks in almost unnoticed. The palate shows citrusy minerals and a clean, bracing mouthfeel with plenty of fresh acidity. The finish hangs around a good while, and lets that citrus flavor work its magic.

1 person found it helpfulAug 25th, 2020Creamy and buttery, and a hint of spice, but no oak. Flexible enough to pair with traditional white wine dishes (cheeses, chicken, cream sauce pasta), but rich enough to expand into heavier meals. I paired it with a duck confit, and it worked beautifully.

1 person found it helpfulJun 18th, 2019A lot of effort in creative packaging here, but how does it taste? Floral and citrus notes in nose. Lemon flavor, lactic finish, moderate astringency. I will echo earlier tasters here: a touch of hay in nose, minerality and Asian pear in mouth. Online one review mentions ginger on finish, which I can see. Floral in mouth is a bit too powerful for my taste, it's otherwise an acceptable Steen or Chenin blanc. Good value. Winery pushes their social responsibility on their website.

Tight and a little mute on the nose to start, took 30 min or so for it to open up with a touch of white floral notes, a mix of citrus and stone fruits. As well as a bit of hay. Moderate acidity (5.5/10) and medium bodied. Balanced acidity with some citrus and tropical fruit notes. Crisp too with stone fruits, a touch of earthiness and hay in the midpalate. A bit simple but very enjoyable. Medium length finish. Great overall value at only $14.99 a bottle, with the most interesting cork, the helix cork. Drink till 2019.
