L'Atto Aglianico

Very aromatic with cherries, plum skin, dried red fruits, and fig. Perfect pairing for a short rib ragu. Delicious on day two.

Quite classic volcanic Aglianico profile. Ferrous, herbal, spicy, dusty. Slightly rustic feel. Bright cherry, red plum, coffee grounds, pencil shavings, dark chocolate, mint, roasted meat. No one characteristic is dominant, very good integration of tannin. This is a real winner for under $20.

This Aglianico opens with masses of crushed blackberries, sweet spice, and dusty minerals with unreal depth. Creamy textures flood the senses with ripe black fruits, stimulating acidity, saline-minerals and slow-mounting tannins. Aromas of wet earth, bark, and coffee grounds, but very fruity on the palate, with fresh blackberries. Medium acidity, medium tannin. Very nice.

Aged in barrels underneath Basilicata, you can taste the ashy notes of monte vulture. Very bold and refreshing.

A great Aglianico wine. The notes of ashy earth complement the crushed berry. The wine is aged in tunnels underneath the city that maintain the same temperature and humidity all year long. It allows the grapes to truly express their volcanic origins on the rolling hills of Basilicata

Quite drinkable but lacking sparks.
