If Valtellina were allowed to varietally label Nebbiolo - only PiedmonteDOCs can - these wines wouldn't be such a secret. Pure, honest, rustic flavors of tar, cured meat and tart red fruits

Cashed in my local wine shop loyalty card for this bottle. Overall quite good - a cured meat, red fruit vibe happening here with a helping of tannins (less bite than the younger nebbiolos that you find around $20-$25). Thoroughly enjoyable, but I’ve had more mesmerizing bottles at this steep price point.

Such a fantastic wine. 2010 is a great expression. If you're not familiar with the DOCG, you're missing out. If you're not familiar with the producer, you're missing out even more.
