Aug 10th, 2015NV bubble from a maker that is rarely seen in Australia, though this is changing - 22 euro in the bottle shop! Very acceptable!

Nov 8th, 2013It's become a bit of a Mr. & Mrs. Spittoon tradition that we grab a bottle of Canard- Duchêne for Xmas Day since Mr. S gave me a CD branded sabre for Xmas about 3 years ago with a bottle of CD. We ended up finding this bottle at the Petition wine store in the city for about $90.
On the eye it's a golden yellow with a slight bronze tinge. The nose immediately made me think of musk and apples while the palate had an extremely fine texture with beautifully crisp lemon flavours balanced with creamy tropical fruits and a sprinkle of nuts. I love the complexity Canard-Duchêne provides in their champas. And yes I sabred it like a legend 😆
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine
