An in-your-face chardonnay, but in a good sense! I often find American Chardonnay wines, at least the ones you find in Europe to be onesided, either too oaky or too much on tropical fruitiness. This Calera wine does not hide it but takes it to another level with a bold statement of sunny Chardonnay while retaining freshness and tension that is often ignored. Personally, a bench mark of American Chardonnay.
