In general, I had a choice of cheap supermarket wines or some very expensive and refined ones like Stag's Leap. And nothing in the middle. And finally I found. Rich and not expensive and not cheap. But is it a typical merlot? The nose is full of vanilla, cherries and plums. On the palate too but also it's smooth with some dark chocolate hints at the finish. Great. California, here I come!

Big mocha and dark fruit. The roundness and alcohol give the impression of sweetness. Tough to enjoy with food. Well made if this is your style, it's not my cup of tea.
