Gorgeous deep pure fruit with a fresh core and complex gentle signs of age at the edges. Softened, intense and totally balanced. A whiff of sandalwood but pretty cherry and violets and plum. Excellent.

This is dark and gnarly. Very pure and deep. Spicy plum and blue fruit with spices and black cherry. This is still closed and poised. Great focus and bright acidity with raspberry. Really good

Holy cow. A heartbreaking nose- intense red fruit, roses, violets, sandalwood, lavender, strawberry. Such amazing balance and tension. On the palate this is extraordinary. Still quite dense and packed but gorgeous fruit with leather, cherry, damson, herbs. This is still young, but soooo classy.

1978 Bruno Giacosa Riserva Especial Barolo. Needed a good 1.5 hour decant before it started showing. Got better at 2 hours. Sweetness upfront, strong acidity at finish.
