Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba Barolo Nebbiolo

Gave it 3 hours in a decanter before sampling. Dark tawny with some amber. Almost opaque. Fragrant nose. Notes of ripe red cherries and ripe black fruit, iced tea, rose petals and some subtle dark earth. Robust in the mouth. Nice structure with softened tannins. Very perfumed, with a sweetness. Better than I was expecting.

Herbal and medicinal aromas on the nose; thin and feels a bit watered down? Quite elegant and soft tannins. Not sure about it.

Showing lots of primary red fruit. Spice. Loaded w acid and tannin still. young.

Pulled this for my 10th anniversary dinner with my wonderful wife. This is an amazing wine. Still young but showing a lot of its cards. Beautiful, beautiful Barolo. Tremendous depth and power, though effortless grace. This has decades of life left.

This bottle tastes a little long in the tooth. Still tons of mature flavors dancing around.

perfume of wild mushrooms, incense, tobacco (dried & menthol), roses & cherry ~ massive core of fruit & spice that grows in size over time and in length ~ I only wish I could enjoy this over a longer period of time!
