Nov 27th, 2020After some decanting the sharpness mellowed out and this became more balanced. Crisp apple layered with vanilla and stone fruit. The Philippe Colin Chenevottes was a stronger wine.

Feb 25th, 2018Good but not excellent, an thus, not worth its high price. Nose is classic Chardonnay with vanilla notes. Palette starts with vanilla, butter, and peach--just perfect, but then transitions to a strong lemon aftertaste that does not mix well. After breathing an hour, which I would recommend before consuming, the lemon flavor becomes milder and the wine better. While lemon and citrus go well with Sauvignon Blanc or Vermentino, they don't mix well with a buttery Chardonnay.
