What a rollercoaster, biblical vintage, and drinking now it’s so interesting. Deft balance of acid and fruit and texture. Toss in a little VA and a whisp of EA and then mushroom forest floor and no apparent oak. Black and blue fruit and a focus of tannin in the finish with some depth of flavor. Can’t believe this vintage gave us this.

Vivid magenta. Highly perfumed, spice-tinged red/dark berries and pungent flowers on the expressive nose. Juicy and energetic on the palate The 2017 Select offers sappy raspberry, bitter cherry and mulberry flavors that slowly deepen through the mid-palate. The spice and floral notes repeat emphatically on a very long, penetrating finish that's framed by smooth, well-knit tannins. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2020)

Beautiful, clean and. fresh Pinot. Doug really captures what I think ‘17 is all about. Great now but a lovely long life ahead!

Brick House makes a terrific blend of old world Burgundy and Oregon Pinot Noir. Blue fruits, cherry, briar patch, with acidity and discrete tannins. Drink or cellar.
