Boudreaux Cellars
Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine just received a 97 rating at RP and it is truly outstanding. So even in Washington State with its dreadful climate miracles are possible.

May 26th, 2024Dark, rich fruit, menthol, cocoa. Alcohol stuck out way too much. Disappointing

Dec 29th, 2017Deep almost blackish red coloration. Wreaks of elementary school marks-a-lot, licorice, and forest floor. Weighty attack of blackberry compote, licorice, and cassis with medium finish of chewy tannins and bright acidity. Still has some weight and tannin to shed but will retain its freshness due to its great amount of acid.

Rich and deep but not a ton of complexity. One of the better Washington State cabs I've had. Most I hate and find gloppy.

1 person found it helpfulMay 24th, 2016Dark, almost black. Medium+ viscosity. Bright, sweet red fruits, licorice, and vanilla on the nose. Medium body, medium+ acid, medium+ alcohol (marked 13.8%, but tastes much higher), medium, pretty round tannins, gravel, tart blackberries and raspberries, dust/dirt on palette. Paired very well with chimichurri skirt steak and artichokes.
