In the decanter much darker than I would have expected. Tight on both the nose and the palate for the first 30-45 minutes. Grudgingly began to open with a dark fruit profile, secondary flavors and decent structure. Burly in the mouth but as the evening moved to its conclusion I found the wine a little disjointed.

Bramble and underripe blueberries with some tart cranberry notes. Smokey salami and dried sage on the secondary front followed by peppery cedar. This is all I want from a quality burgundy. Tannins are smooth and resolved, this is on point.

We had the 2010 Vintage on 11/4-5/23. A real good PN. Tastes of raspberry, strawberry and baking spice. Medium bodied. More fruit forward for a Burgundy. I spoke to Flavio at The Wine Watch. He tells me this wine maker produces wines more fruit forward than most Burgundies. I sensed this wine was more CA than FR.

Man, love this. Could drink all day. Went on a limb and brought burgundy to a steak house. It’s hot out and this is just too easy.
