Bouchard Père et Fils
Clos Saint-Landry Beaune 1er Cru Chardonnay
Medium lemon with aromas of ripe stone and tropical fruits and notes of honey. On the palate flavors of crisp apple and peach, with nutty notes, nice acidity, good balance. Smooth finish, medium-body with slight creamy touch on the ending. Still Nice!

Feb 19th, 2021Slightly golden colored in the glass; pretty. Delightful tropical fruits, citrus, and nuts. It delivers a touch more squishy fruit than I would typically like but there’s enough acid to keep things very well balanced. This would be a delightful pairing with a variety of foods. Holding up very well indeed; plenty of life left!

Dec 21st, 2018Found another bottle in my cellar, aged well. Light golden with aromas of stone and tropical fruits and notes of sweet honey. On the palate apple and peach, with nutty tones, lively acidity, good balance, medium-body. Lingering finish very smooth ending with creamy notes. Very Nice!

Nov 23rd, 2017Word on the street was this was 1 of 6 bottles remaining in the country. Honored I had the privilege to enjoy. This monopole is the oldest site for Chardonnay in the Beaune.

Sep 8th, 2017This is young and fresh with great texture but oak is not well integrated and is overpowering on the finish.

Jun 24th, 2017Had a bottle laying around. Light golden with aromas of stone and tropical fruits and notes of honey. The palate shows crisp apple and peach, little nutty tones, nice acidity balance. This medium-body wine finishes smooth, a little creamy on the end. Very Nice!
