This winery is a special place for us. We visited there the day before we were married. An smaller, older winery following their time honoured traditions.

Back home in Warsaw! I did a deep dive in my wine cellar and this is what I felt like popping tonight. What a great sip!
Cherry, blood orange, almond, meat juice, black tea, wow this is complex. The palate is all balance and nuance... I love that. This has a great acid backbone, some width, nice cherry and savoury touches, a good, lively tannic wall in the rear, leaving a drying effect and a very fine grain over a long, complex finish with cherry, thzt savoury, meaty note, some black tea touch too. Wow this is consistently great!

Tart cherry, almond, a tiny touch of licorice, leather... The nose feels young but delivers. The palate is exceptionally well made. Super strong acid drive, good width, super cherry notes all along, vivid mouthfeel, some lively tannins in the rear that make way to a long fruity finish with some meaty, umami notes showing up and even a tiny bitter note in the rear. I know it's. Their entry level wine but it's absolutely delicious. Simple, not so complex, but man their top wine must be bonkers! Oh and this is my 200th Italian entry here 😉

June 29, 2019, CoMO, w/ j2, jackD, KK. Celebrating KK’s employment transition, bottle 3. Not getting pepper finish, or big bold wine. Pale-medium garnet color. Nice acidity. Good w/ salmon.
