Booker Vineyard
My Favorite Neighbor Cabernet Sauvignon
Mo had this at 94, I had it at 92. For me, it was nice, but bone dry, and lacked density and that sweet finish I like from Cali wines. This concluded somewhat bitter for me.
Standout pizza at Bivio, Montclair.

Wow. Very nice cab, elegant, with constraint tannins but good structure. Layers of fruit, but not to forward. Excellent.

Jul 25th, 2019Aroma of black currant, blackberry cobbler, smoke, tar, dates and caramel. Very mild fruit at the forefront of the palate with a long profile and pencil lead on the finish, and cedar. Amazing for a young cab- complex and smooth

Jul 22nd, 2024One of my favorite value wines. Solid structure, nice ripe red and black fruit, tannic, but opens up quickly, even for a 2019. Nice mouthfeel. Lacking depth and complexity, but again, it is a $50 wine.

May 4th, 2023Nice fruit. Bit tight, but paired really nicely with a soft and creamy blue cheese. Wow, nice combo. Helps the wine soften up. Still a good value, but I remembered previous vintages more fondly.
