Le Cigare Volant Red Rhone Blend

65/18/15/2 blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsaut, Petite Sirah. Some wood and red fruit in nose. Raspberry and blackberry in mouth, slightly bitter finish, good value. Decant two hours, it integrates better but remains a bit tart.

Cherry, raspberry, cranberry, currant, blackberry and oak. Medium-bodied and soft tannins.

True test: three days open, still great. WOTY including price. Will buy more. Nice surprise.

Standard funky and strange Boony Doony label. The wine inside is juicy and rich. Nice mix of classic Rhone flavors. Easy to love.

This use to be my kind of wine. It became tart and overblown.

Gorgeous raspberry color, with a slightly fruity nose. Just opened, so will probably open up. And wow. Wow. A beautiful blend tasting like an old world wine. Struggling to identify notes, but dried red fruits, with cedar and exotic notes. Super fine tannins and we'll balanced. If I closed my eyes I'd swear it was a French wine. Such a delight!!

Less refined than previous vintages Fruity (cherry) and strong. Would try again.
