Soft floral nose. Salty and complex on the palate. Super long savory finish.

Comes off as a decent Bordeaux blanc in some ways, but also seems pretty far off. Certainly interesting, which is usually what I expect from Bonny Doon.

Randall Grahm's tribute to white Bordeaux, Gravitas is a blend of 54% Semillon, 43.5% Sauvignon Blanc and 2.5% Orange Muscat grapes from five Central Coast vineyards. The wine has a pretty golden tint and a savory nose featuring tangerine, Meyer lemon, a touch of lanolin and a bit of a floral note. The palate shows fabulous salinity - a Grahm hallmark - with citrus and an extremely refreshing acidity.

Good egg! Lovely accompaniment to Tikka Masala. Savage rations, of course, but the wine lifts the meal to a nearly civilised point. @BonnyDoon Vineyard

2014. Intéressant mais moins punché qu'espéré. Dégusté avec saumon mariné cari-érable-sambal oelek, légumes verts et riz basmati parfumé au curcuma et Garam Masala. Peut-être que la nourriture était trop relevée pour le vin.

Orange rind on the nose, Sémillon gives it body, Sauv Blanc for acidity. My only gripe with this is that it kind of falls apart on the finish... Think it would probably be even better with food.
