Ruby with a rich bouquet of fruit, spices, leather, and chocolate, rich and robust wine from a hot vintage, aged in Slavonian oak barrels and French oak for 36 months. On the palate flavors of cherry and ripe raspberry with notes of pepper and cacao. Long finish, nice balance with fine soft tannins ending with earthy sweet notes. Enjoyable! Organic!

Lovely nose. Wet forest floor, leaves, mushroom, black pepper, cassis, balsamic, black fruit fruit leather. The more it sits in the glass the more the balsamic comes through. It’s nice. The balsamic lingers on the tongue. It went really well with steak on night 1 and pork on night 2.

This 2017 is simply beautiful, silky, lithe, balanced., delicate and nuanced. Dusty dry with fresh and reduced cherries, mineral backbone, hints of leather and potpourri.

Too young, drying, chewy tannins, red fruit, cherry, rose petals.... needs time.

Never the biggest Barolo fan (I often find them too unstructured, weak) but this inches above the bar with some grippy tannin and dried stone fruit.

From a micro-producer with tiny production. Super delicious! Smooth and mellow but with deep, well-rounded tannins. Tea, tar, roses, prune, cola, mushrooms. A bargain for this vintage and quality. From Flatiron Wines.
