A dark beast of a wine, the 2012 Pintia displayed notes of fig, plum, and balsamico, followed by brown spices, black earth and minerals. A wine of contrasts on the palate, as intense dark fruits saturated the senses before zesty acidity created an almost mouthwatering experience, yet a layer of fine tannin quickly firmed up the experience. It finished long of dark tary black fruits and spice.

May 22nd, 2017Needed a slump buster. Stone fruit, hints of vanilla on nose. Currants, cocoa. Elegant with fine tannins and a long finish. Perfect with Little Fox flatiron steak.

Feb 6th, 2022Via Coravin. Coffee, leather, and berries on the nose. Black plum, cassis mid-palate. Firm tannins and fairly dry on the finish. Just a baby. Needs much more time in the bottle. Fun to try
